Local News Toolkit
Introduction

The Internet and large retailers are dramatically changing the face of local neighborhoods. It’s easy for us to keep up with our friends around the country on Facebook but more difficult to know what’s going on down the street. Likewise, our kids find it easier to play online with kids in other countries than to find someone to play with from school. The cutbacks in city papers and other local media are just making these trends worse.
But that doesn’t mean we aren’t interested in our neighborhood. It’s just been getting difficult to stay connected. That’s where BubbleLife comes in.
BubbleLife is a online neighborhood newspaper that tries to gather all the neighborhood information together all in one place through a combination of technology, merchants, community groups and our own editorial team. BubbleLife does a lot of gathering and sharing of news automatically, but stories can get overlooked. That’s why we make it easy for you to share your news with your neighbors.
About the Local News Toolkit
There are a lot of ways to share your news with BubbleLife. Along the left side of this page are a series of very short tutorials. These tutorials help you understand how you can share your news with the neighborhood and help make the neighborhood a smaller place.
Please don’t hesitate to provide your feedback.
