Lake Highlands comprises of the historic East Dallas area between Hwy 75, 635, and Northwest Hwy, anchoring the northern end of White Rock Lake. It’s makeup of affordable suburban housing developments as well as established retail shopping centers attracts new residents every year. A new Lake Highlands Blue Line DART station is currently under construction and is planned to open within the next year. Surrounding the new DART station a mixed use retail and residential development named Lake Highlands Town Center is currently being constructed as a new hub for the community. Most of the Lake Highlands community is served by the Richardson Independent School System (DISD).
